Coincides with the GR-7 route stage 32 in the Valencian Community
The route begins at the football ground. Continue along the path past the Terres farmstead until reaching the top of the pass. Following the indications for the GR-7, you will arrive at the Santa Bárbara chapel, where you will also find the the Plà fountain and a hundred-year-old poplar tree.
Follow the path past the Mingol and Basa Roja farmsteads until reaching the campsite. A little further on you will come to the recreational area around the Mariola fountain, and leaving the Alto and the Mariola castle on your right follow the path until you reach the Mas dels Arbres fountain. About 200 metres further on the left, turn off and take the path leading to the d’En Miquel ice cave with its imposing buttresses. Returning to the main path, climb up until you find the Voltor ice cave.
Further on you will reach the Cava Gran and Cava Arquejada ice caves and a short distance away you will see a refuge belonging to the Alcoi C.E, as well as the Cava de l’Habitación ice cave and the summit of the Teix. In order to go directly to the top of the Montcabrer (1390 m) take the PR-CV 27, which for a short distance coincides with the GR-7. To come back, follow the PR-CV-57 in an easterly direction passing by the Foya Ancha farmstead, until you reach the Mariola fountain.
